Hawkshead Farm was taken over by the Lomas Family when they first came to Old Glossop in the late 1940's

Unfortunately a fire at the farm left it in a dangerous condition and it had to be demolished at the same time as Oldham Road.

The Lomas farmers then moved their operations to Hall Meadow Farm.

The area where the farm used to stand is now used as an unofficial car park thanks to the generosity of the present owners.
