Glossop Carnival 2008

The carnival is an annual community event held in Manor Park, a short walk from the centre.
This year will be bigger and better than ever.
The main attraction which we are delighted to have secured is the Tameside Sea Cadets, who will perform the "Climbing the Rigging" amazing sight to behold, recently performed in London before H.M. the Queen
There is also a funfair, craft stalls, farmers market, Cheerleaders, Morris Groups, a Maypole Dance and three very different bands to create a party atmosphere ? the Arnfield Brass, Glossop School Jazz Band and a Pipe Band.
There will be a procession from Paul Bann’s field, commencing at 12:30pm up to the park.
There will also be an RSPCA Dog Show, open to all attendees. Hope to have a “Real Ale” Tent. We are also approaching the Glossop Howard Town Brewery to have a "Real Ale" tent.
There will be events on both days.
The three Bands will also be playing in various sets throughout the days, interspersed with performances by the Sea Cadets.
Local charities can have a stall for free to raise funds for worthy causes.
