Phone 01457 857008 I am pleased to say that the Wheatsheaf has now opened again as a traditional pub. The new landlord Bob, his good lady Irene , and his daughters Hannah and Jessica have been a breath of fresh air to the village. Why not pay a visit and sample the locally produced and tasty traditional homecooked excellent food. There are lots of events and popular goings on a the Wheatsheaf. A monthly list can be downloaded page 1 and page 2 A review and comments can be found here

As well a serving a fine selection of ales the Wheatsheaf has added to the diversity of the food available in the village by opening the Greek Taverna on Thurs. to Sunday nights
This photo was taken in the early 1960's and shows the stairs opposite the front door
