The Wheatsheaf

The Wheatsheaf is first mentioned as a pub in 1860 and was called the New Inn.

It survived being closed when it was referred to Compensation in 1907 by an appeal made by Doctor Eastham

Mine Hosts were Jackie and Richard Madden, they have now left.

As well a serving a fine selection of ales the Wheatsheaf has added to the diversity of the food available in the village by opening the Greek Tavernaon Thurs. to Sunday nights
