To
celebrate the Queens 50th Jubilee, we are organizing an Old Glossop "Street
Party" on the
first
weekend in June for local children. A group of residents are organizing competitions,
games,
entertainment and food for the youngsters. The focus will be on the children,
but because
they need to be accompanied by an adult, and we want to make it a fun family
day.
The three local pubs, Bulls Head
, Wheatsheaf and Queens
will be open to serve food
and drink.
We
Need Your Support
In order for this to be a success,we hope to raise money through sponsorshipand
fund raising events
leading up to the day. 
Any money remaining will go to a nominated charity. A small contribution per
child may be
required depending on the support of our fund raising activates
Donation
boxes and football card are available at the Bulls Head, Queens and
Wheatsheaf pubs. Along with collection sacks for any Red White & Blue material
for our
Bunting making.
