Shelf Moor Cottage

This traditional stone cottage has been beautifully renovated and offers comfortable accommodation in a perfect location to explore the surrounding countryside. The cottage is located in the old town of Glossop and has views from the rear of the property over to Shelf Moor, which contains over 50 crash sites dating back to the second world war. Old Glossop is a quaint village steeped in history with several period buildings with the old market cross still visible to this day. Manor Park is a stones throw away, as well as three local pubs offering real ale and traditional fare. The local shops and restaurants are less than a mile away. The area has an abundance of walks, cycle routes and horse riding paths including Longdendale Trail, Pennine way, Crowden and Derwent reservoir made famous by the “Dambusters”.

Shelf Moor Cottage in Glossop offers a welcome to guests with pets and children; the cottage has an enclosed rear garden where both can play and families can enjoy a barbecue or similar al-fresco meal with the furniture provided outside. A maximum of one dog is allowed, they should be house-trained if possible and kept downstairs. For guests with babies/toddlers, a travel cot can be supplied on request
